Malaysian singer Gin Lee, who currently resides in Hong Kong, will be performing at the Miss Hong Kong pageant on Sept 12. Jacky Cheung, one of Hong Kong's unforgettable Four Heavenly Kings, is also set to take centrestage in the pageant after 20 years.
Lee and Cheung have just recently released a duet titled Let Street Lamps Go To Sleep When The Sun Rises. With the two artistes making appearances in the pageant, it wouldn't be surprising for them to perform this Cantonese track together.
Lee, who turned 34 in August, took to Instagram to share a preview of the music video. She thanked the crew of the shoot who worked tirelessly under the hot sun for the shoot. She jokingly said she "saw everyone's skin colour constantly changing".
The singer who left Malaysia for Hong Kong in 2011 also posted a photo with Cheung early last month to let fans know how amazing the collaboration was and that she never expected to be working with an idol. She also praised his singing style and persistence.
Cheung last performed in the Miss Hong Kong pageant back in 2001. This would mark the eighth time the 60-year-old Hong Kong star has made an appearance on the show.
