If anyone knows how to put a spark in their marriage, it is country superstar Dolly Parton.
For her husband's 79th birthday on July 20, Parton gifted him a special photograph. Parton recreated her iconic Playboy shoot from 1978, complete with a sexy bustier, gloves, bow and bunny ears.
"Today is July 20. It’s my husband Carl’s birthday and you’re probably wondering why I’m dressed like this,” Parton, 75, said on her social media accounts.
“Remember some time back I said I was going to pose for Playboy magazine when I was 75? Well, I’m 75 and they don’t have a magazine anymore but my husband always loved the original cover of Playboy, so I was trying to think of something to do to make him happy. He still thinks I’m a hot chick after 57 years — and I’m not going to try to talk him out of that.”
Parton and her husband Carl Dean have been married for 57 years.
In March last year, Parton went on a TV interview in Australia and was asked if she would retire from showbiz any time soon.
The 9 To 5 singer replied in the 60 Minute interview: "I don't plan to retire, I just turned 74! I plan to be on the cover of Playboy magazine again. I thought it would be such a hoot. If they'll go for it. I don't know if they will."
Parton was the first country singer to appear on the cover of Playboy magazine in 1978. She was 32 then.
