‘Vincenzo’ star Song Joong-ki once insisted on showering at his co-star’s home

Korean actor Song Joong-ki is known in the industry as being a nice guy, someone who’s thoughtful towards his colleagues.

One of his kind acts came into light when actor Park Hoon, 40, recently appeared on the variety show Problem Child In House, and shared a story about Song, 35.

Park Hoon, who worked primarily in theatre, made his K-drama debut with Descendants Of The Sun.

One of the filming locations of the 2016 series happened to be 10 minutes away from Park Hoon’s home.

According to a report on jaynestars, the cast members would take showers frequently as the set was often dusty and dirty.

Park Hoon recalled: “One day, Song Joong-ki asked me if he could come over to my house and take a shower. And I wondered why as there were many bathhouses near the set.

“But when he came over, he greeted my mother so warmly, and he was so sweet to her like a real son.

“I only realised later, but he had wanted to come over to show my mother that we are filming together. He wanted to reassure her that he is there to support me.

“Afterward, my mother also told me that Joong-ki had sent her fruits, which I didn’t know he did. He is truly a caring person.”

Back in 2019, Park Hoon shared another story about Vincenzo actor as well: “When we all went for training (to prepare for our roles as soldiers), I wanted to get an autograph from Song Joong-ki. At the time, he asked me (friendly) questions like how long I had been a stuntman.”

Park Hoon added: "Song Joong-ki also came over to my home to pay his respects to my mother. Because he wanted to be considerate, he simply introduced himself as an actor who works with me. He is such a great guy.”
