Dominic West – star of The Affair, a drama series about extramarital affairs that ran for five seasons – is now being put under a microscope for his involvement in a cheating scandal.
It all started when photos of West, 50, kissing his The Pursuit Of Love co-star Lily James, 31, at a restaurant in Rome circulated online on Oct 11. Another photo showed the two on a scooter together.
Less than a day later, the actor and his wife, landscape designer Catherine FitzGerald, put up a united front and exchanged a kiss in front of their home in England. They also handed a note to photographers.
It read: "Our marriage is strong and we're still very much together. Thank you."
They both signed the note. The couple has been married for 10 years and have four children together.
James, best known for her role in the 2015 live-action remake of Cinderella, recently ended his relationship with The Crown's Matt Smith.
She has been romantically linked to the star of the Captain America film series, Chris Evan, but neither has confirmed the rumour.
