Actors Sharnaaz Ahmad and Nelydia Senrose back together for film 'Jebat'

The drama series Bukan Kerana Aku Tak Cinta was a fan favourite in 2013-2014.

It tells of a woman from a wealthy family falling in love with a gangster. Naturally, there are all sorts of objections from both parties, which bring forth drama and conflict to the series.

Its popularity was in part thanks to the on-screen chemistry between actor Sharnaaz Ahmad and actress Nelydia Senrose.

Now, seven years later, the two stars are reprising their roles as Jebat and Mastura for the film, Jebat.

The feature starts with Jebat and Mastura on their honeymoon overseas. However, Jebat has a feeling they are being followed.

Once back in Malaysia, Jebat visits his old gang to find out what's going on as he doesn't want his past to harm Mastura.

That's when he learns, that someone is out to kill him.

With MMA action star Peter Davis among the cast of Jebat, fans can expect loads of action besides drama.

Others in the cast include Carmen Soo, Sangeeta Krishnasamy, Idris Khan, Louisa Chong, Yap Chin Fong and Rahhim Omar.

Jebat premieres Sept 3 on Astro First (Ch 480).
