Malaysian businessman Engku Emran Engku Zainal Abidin, 45, and Indonesian actress Laudya Cynthia Bella, 32, have gone their separate ways after two years of marriage.
Laudya made the announcement during an Indonesian TV programme, Insert, on the morning of July 1.
"On the various reports made about my marriage, I would like to clarify that we have decided to part ways on good terms."
"We've done everything we can to save our marriage but this is God's will."
The couple tied the knot in September 2017 at a hotel in Kuala Lumpur. They have no children together.
Engku Emran has an 11-year-old daughter from his previous marriage with local actress Erra Fazira.
"Throughout these two years of having him as my husband, I've learned a lot from him. And I hope these lessons will make me a better person in the future," Laudya adds.
Laudya is a popular actress in Indonesian cinema, having starred in hit films like Syurga Yang Tak Dirindukan while Engku Emran is a prominent media businessman in Malaysia.
