June 21 was a special day for all fathers worldwide as it was Fathers Day.
Philippines-born singer Mark Adam, 41, spent the day reminiscing the good times he shared with his late father.
Mark's father left the Philippines in 1988 for a job in Saudi Arabia. Despite being busy with work, Mark said that his father never failed to send home photos every month.
Unfortunately, Mark's family lost most of their photo collection in a typhoon that struck the country. However, the singer said that he does not need physical photographs to keep the memory of his father alive.
“My heart and soul will always remember; these memories will not fade,” he wrote on Instagram. “Happy Father’s Day to my dad, and to all my Instagram followers who are also fathers. May you stay safe and healthy. And guys, don’t forget to call your father and tell him ‘thank you so much ayah, love you’.
“Don’t worry, Pa, I will take care of mum until the end of our lives, ” Mark said the heartfelt post.
Mark has already made good on his promise to take care of his mother. In September 2019, the singer surprised his mother with a bungalow in Cebu, Philippines – fulfilling his childhood dream of buying her a house once he grew up.
