Hong Kong media is all abuzz with the news that Raymond Lam's wife Carina Zhang is expecting their first child.

In fact, it is rumoured that Chinese model Zhang is already eight months pregnant and has spent the past two months nesting at their Dynasty Court luxury apartment located at Hong Kong’s ritzy Mid-Levels.

Since Lam's mother is unable to return to Hong Kong due to Covid-19 travel restrictions, sources say that Lam has already enlisted the help of two confinement ladies.

Lam, 40, and Zhang, 29, had dated for a year before filing for a marriage registration license on Sept 26 last year.

The actor then announced their marriage on his Weibo during New Year’s eve, with a picture of their clasped hands wearing wedding rings, to signify the beginning of a new chapter in his life.

When netizens started suspecting a shotgun marriage, Zhang, who was recently certified as a fitness instructor, quashed rumours by posting a high intensity exercise video on her Weibo in mid-February.

However, according to gossip rags, the couple have actually been actively trying for a baby, even resorting to traditional Chinese medicine and consulting a gynaecologist who helped Hong Kong celebrities like Kelly Chen and Sandra Ng to conceive.

If the Hong Kong paparazzi got it right, then Lam is set to be a father next month.

The hard-working actor will next be seen in Louis Koo’s historical film Back To The Past and TVB drama Line Walker 3.
