What does the future hold for young filmmakers post Covid-19?

Datuk Kamil Othman, the former director general of the National Film Development Corporation Malaysia (Finas) and consultant for the Malaysia creative industry, will be touching on the fate of young filmmakers post Covid-19 via a Instagram live chat.

He will be talking to Amir Rahim, the deputy chairman of Voice Of Young & Creative Minds Organisation (@suarakesenian) on April 22, at 8pm.

Kamil gave a sneak on one of the points he'd bring up during the chat.

He said: "The Net Generation is probably the most adapted to face Post Covid-19 challenges. They're already operating independently and they understand the economics of DIY concept."

While there are many uncertain elements around the industry today, there is one thing that will not change, he said.

Kamil explained: "There will always be a demand for content and services related to it."
