It's easy to forget that Ariana Grande started out as an actress first, what with all the success she’s been enjoying as a singer.
The 22-year-old pop sensation, whose vocal abilities have been compared to that of Mariah Carey's, ventured into acting when she was just eight, playing the red-haired cutie Annie in a community theatre. In her teens, Grande rose to prominence as one of the main cast of Nickelodeon’s Victorious and Sam & Cat.
