Hong Kong’s best comics creators will once again be rocking Comics Fiesta, Malaysia’s largest comic exhibition, for the fourth year running.
This time around, a total of 16 Hong Kong comic creators will be present at Comic Fiesta, which is happening from Dec 20-21, 2025, at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.
Artists like Jerry Cho, Felix Ip, Tim Cheng, and Linus Liu will be showcasing their art in Malaysia for the first time ever, having made their grand debut at the recent Ani-Com & Games Hong Kong 2025.
Malaysian fans will also be able to interact with the creators through a series of activities, and learn about the creative process and artistic views behind their respective works. Through this, they will be able to gain an insight into the creative spirit and cultural charm of Hong Kong comics.
Hong Kong Comics Support Programme
These 16 creators are the latest talents selected by the Hong Kong Comics Support Programme (HKCSP), which is an initiative aimed at developing the Hong Kong comics industry.
Since its launch in 2021, HKCSP has successfully assisted many Hong Kong comic creators in promoting their works internationally, providing financial and logistical support, in order to promote the global popularity of Hong Kong comics.
The 4th edition of the HKCSP was held in July this year, with almost 100 applicants competing for Gold, Silver and Bronze awards, among others.
The big winner of this year’s awards was Tim Cheng's ‘The Celestial Bookhouse’, which won the HKCSP Gold Award and also clinched the Best Comic Story Award.
Meanwhile, Rex Koo's ‘Nobody In Walled City’ and Felix Ip's ‘Dare To Dream’ shared the HKCSP Silver Award, and Chan Chi Cheung won the HKCSP Bronze Award for ‘Cycling From Zombies’.
The Best Comics Character Design Award went to One Fung’s ‘BONEMAX’ title.
These creators and 11 others will be present at the HKCSP booth at Comics Fiesta, where HKCSP has been a popular fixture for the past three years.
It has also become an important platform for Hong Kong’s creators to venture into the South-East Asian market, with many of the featured titles receiving good response in Malaysia.
HKSCSP is organised by the Hong Kong Comics and Animation Federation (HKCAF) with the support of the Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency (CCIDA).
