Nik Amir Mustapha’s gorgeously-shot Terbaik Dari Langit is a gift that keeps on giving. What's not to like about a road movie about the quest to make an experimental sci-fi film? If you remember it was released on Christmas day in 2014, and this Sunday, the tight-knit cast (of film and theatre friends) from the movie will return for a special script reading session, with proceeds to help a community donation drive. Bront Palarae, Iedil Putra, Amerul Affendi, Nadiya Nisaa, Megat Shahrizal and more will be a part of this virtual reunion.

ONE HUNDRED DAYS OF SOLITUDE

Written, directed, and performed by Pitapat Theatre’s Seng Soo Ming, One Hundred Days Of Solitude is one man’s contemplation on the distance between life and death through a car accident victim who suffers a long time coma.

This pandemic-inspired play will be presented in the form of an online play-reading. The show will run for an hour with a 30-minute post show talk via Zoom.

JFKL TALK SERIES - EPISODE 1 WITH MAHEN BALA

The JFKL Talk Series is a new series by the Japan Foundation, Kuala Lumpur initiated to reach out to everyone and introduce more about Japan through the lenses of professionals in various fields.

The first episode of this inaugural talk series is titled Longing And Belonging: Portraits Of Different People In Japan by Malaysian documentarian and photographer Mahen Bala.

In this virtual hangout, Mahen will be sharing his research findings on Japanese railway heritage, the places he visited, and most importantly, the historical and cultural encounters he experienced in pre-pandemic Japan in early 2020.
