Dharma musician and vocalist Imee Ooi and her frequent collaborators - the JSJG Dharma Man’s Vocal Group - will be presenting their very first live streaming performance titled Metta Sky Concert from Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre (KLPac) on Sept 26.

The show starts 8.30pm on Ooi’s Facebook page. This 120 minute performance will showcase Ooi’s authentic musical works based on the sutras and mantras.

“This concert aspires to touch the hearts and souls of people around the world with a hope to heal the wounded Mother Earth, spread loving-kindness, peace and harmony all around, ” says Ooi.

It has been a challenging past few months for Ooi and the musicians as they planned out this upcoming concert.

"It was not possible to meet physically for rehearsals and practices during the lockdown, but we all have five years of musical understanding performing together as a group. Additionally, the members were also my students... I have known them since a decade ago," says Ooi.

"So we have a deep understanding of how this genre of music flows in a performance. We did share and send demos and through the Internet we discussed and fine-tuned our old numbers while working on new arrangements," she adds.

Donations are welcome to help with production costs. WhatsApp: 011-1287 9139, or email:
