The Contemporary Art Society in London has launched a crowdfunding campaign, in partnership with Frieze London, to support artists and museums across Britain in the light of the Covid-19 pandemic. Proceeds raised by the CAS Rapid Response Fund will be used to purchase artworks by British-based emerging artists and donate them to local museums and galleries, which are anticipated to reopen as early as July 4.

The Contemporary Art Society has also announced that funds will support artists, technicians, and art handlers, many of whom have seen their income streams decimated in reaction to the global health crisis.
