Gurmit Singh recalls life in the yellow boots of Phua Chu Kang

Curly hair. White shirt and black pants. Yellow boots. Gold chain. And, of course, a large mole on the face. What TV character am I thinking of? Most Malaysians would have guessed the answer at yellow boots – who else could it be but Phua Chu Kang (PCK), everyone’s favourite contractor, best in Singapore and JB, and some say Batam too?
