If jazz siren Billie Holiday were alive today, she’d be 100 years old this year, and this centenary has been marked on jazz calendars the world over. Holiday was born on April 7, 1915 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, US. She’s the latest in line to join the “100 Club,” which includes jazz greats like Count Basie, Duke Ellington and Louis Armstrong.
