Modernist photography spans the globe at St Ives show


The Modern Lens at Tate St Ives exhibits works by photographers from Europe, America and Japan, working between the 1920s and 1960s.

The English seaside town of St Ives, about 450km from London, has long attracted leading modern artists, particularly after World War Two, chief among them sculptor Barbara Hepworth and abstract painters Ben Nicholson and Patrick Heron.
