The thing about today’s massive comic-book events like Marvel’s recent Secret Wars and DC’s Convergence is that they require a fair amount of familiarity on the reader’s part with the status quo.
Not having read an ongoing Marvel series in some years, I was at quite a loss when I tried to get into the latest incarnation of Secret Wars.
