Fashion magazines were talking about the “it-bag” of the season, Fendi’s Baguette, Chloe’s Paddington and Tod’s Kate. But nobody expected Mulberry to be the dark horse to lead the pack. The brand sneaked in the Roxanne (popularly called the “Roxy” by die-hards) in the fall of 2004, which has since become a cult favourite and a brand classic, along with the dependable satchel-like Bayswater.
