DINERS in search of a diverse culinary experience this Ramadan can explore a buffet offering an array of dishes.

Themed “Imarah Selera Nusantara”, the buffet at Latest Recipe, Le Meridien Kuala Lumpur showcases a rich tapestry of global cuisines, spanning Arabian, Indian, Chinese, Japanese, Western and Malay flavours.

A standout among over 300 options served daily is Kambing Biri-Biri, featuring roasted lamb marinated with a blend of cumin, coriander and dried chilli.

Latest Recipe sous chef Adzlan Shafik said the marination process lasted 48 hours to ensure the lamb was completely infused with the essence of the spices.

The addition of dips and accompaniments such as green peas-avocado cream, chilli-spice sauce, lemon mayonnaise and mixed beans enhances each bite.

Gulai Daging Tetel, a dish with Indonesian origins, is something else to look out for.

It features tender beef braised in a rich and aromatic stew infused with a blend of spices, including turmeric, galangal and lemongrass.

The experience at the hotel’s all-day dining restaurant is further heightened by live cooking stations, inviting diners to witness their food being prepared firsthand.

“One of the signature items at Latest Recipe is our pasta station,” said Adzlan.

“It allows diners to customise their pasta dishes with a selection of sauces and toppings, with the dish prepared on the spot by our chef.”
