The webinar, which will be held on July 8 from 10am to 12.30pm, is free for members of the Kuali Bakers Community (KBC).
Organised by Kuali in collaboration with Anchor Food Professionals, the workshop brings together leading industry professionals to share their expert knowledge of the food and beverage industry.
Participants will be able to gain viewpoints, information and knowledge to broaden their understanding of the industry and explore areas where they can launch their baking careers.
Fonterra Brands Malaysia food service director Jack Tan will be speaking on “Six Macro Consumer Trends in Food Service 2020”, while Big Onion Food Caterer Sdn Bhd managing director Liang Foo Kuan will talk about “New Ideas for Product Innovation” and Akademi Usahawan Mikro chief executive officer (CEO) Abd Azharee Abd Wahid’s topic is “E-Commerce Business Development.”
There will also be a panel discussion on “Challenges Faced by the Baking Industry During Pandemic” featuring Vanilla Mille Crepe CEO and co-founder Nelson Liew and Azalina Eusope, a fifth-generation street vendor based in San Francisco, the United States.
The discussion, which will be moderated by Malaysia Institute Baking director Yong Mei Kei, will see the two panellists sharing their journey on how they started their respective businesses, the challenges and issues faced by the baking industry and solutions to overcome them.
The Bake & Make with Kuali Bakers workshop is one of the activities organised by KBC, a holistic programme that looks at various aspects of being an entrepreneur baker.
In addition to sharing recipes, tips and baking classes that are aimed at improving one’s technical skills, KBC also offers initiatives designed to enhance an aspiring bakers’ commercial knowledge and business acumen.
