THE local consumer electrical and electronic (E&E) products business is expected to register double digit percentage growth in 2013 over 2012, riding on a northern region market that has increased by 10% per annum to RM625mil revenue presently from RM500mil five years ago, despite a lower gross domestic product (GDP) growth forecast.

The Malaysian Institute of Economic Research (MIER) is forecasting a 4.8% GDP growth, compared to an earlier 5.6% projection.
