West River wins RM17.85mil M&E contracts

PETALING JAYA: West River Bhd, via its wholly-owned subsidiary West River Engineering Sdn Bhd (WRE), has secured two separate residential mechanical and electrical (M&E) engineering subcontracts with a combined value of RM17.85mil.

In a statement, the ACE Market-listed integrated M&E company said the projects comprise a RM11mil electrical works subcontract for a development in Puchong, Selangor, and a RM6.85mil air conditioning and mechanical ventilation nominated subcontract for Park Green, Pavilion Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur.

“The RM11mil fixed-price subcontract was awarded by China Construction Development (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd for the supply, delivery and installation of electrical works at a proposed development along Persiaran Bandar Metro Puchong, Taman Mutiara Puchong.

“Undertaken for Interpile (M) Sdn Bhd, the development comprises a 34-storey residential apartment block with 526 units and a seven-storey podium containing parking facilities and a recreational floor.”

West River said WRE’s scope for the Puchong project includes electrical systems and associated infrastructure, testing and commissioning, technical coordination, quality assurance and compliance with the relevant engineering specifications and regulatory requirements.

“The works will follow the main contractor’s construction programme, with the main contract scheduled for completion on Nov 17, 2028.”

Separately, BUCG (M) Sdn Bhd issued WRE a letter of award for the RM6.85mil nominated subcontract at Park Green.

“The project for Regal Path Sdn Bhd comprises two serviced-apartment blocks with a total of 453 units, together with basement levels, a 10-storey podium and resident facilities.”

West River said the two residential subcontracts complement the group’s project portfolio across residential and industrial developments.
