KUALA LUMPUR: Menara Asia Sdn Bhd has launched MENARABENA, a digital business-to-business (B2B) platform aimed at streamlining construction materials procurement and connecting contractors, suppliers and manufacturers with local and international markets.

The platform, launched by Works Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi, provides procurement, product marketing, delivery coordination and order-tracking functions to improve sourcing options and supply chain visibility.

In a statement, Menara Asia said the platform would allow industry players to access product information, compare sourcing options and explore new business opportunities.

Menara Asia executive chairman Datuk Seri Saiful Nizam Mohd Yusoff said MENARABENA was designed to help industry players make procurement decisions based on pricing, product quality, technical requirements and supplier information.

"The platform is open to the entire construction industry, from G1 to G7 contractors, manufacturers, suppliers and developers. It is designed to create additional business opportunities and strengthen the existing supply chain, not replace local suppliers," he said.

Menara Asia is 51%-owned by Bumiputera construction company Menara Rezeki Sdn Bhd, while the remaining 49% is held by Sarawak-based Mexajati Sdn Bhd.

The company said it was working with Mexajati and Persatuan Kontraktor Melayu Malaysia Sarawak to expand the platform's reach in East Malaysia.

Menara Asia also collaborates with CIDB Holdings Sdn Bhd under a memorandum of agreement to support industry engagement and access to construction materials.

However, the company said participation in MENARABENA would not replace the approvals and certifications required under existing construction industry regulations.

Menara Asia said it would continue expanding its business network across Malaysia and introduce its construction materials and solutions at International Construction Week and BuildXpo Malaysia 2026, scheduled for Nov 10 to 12 at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC).
