KUALA LUMPUR: EcoWorld Development Group Bhd (EcoWorld) has held the second edition of its EcoWorld Connects: Business Ascend Forum, bringing together business leaders to discuss growth strategies and expansion opportunities.
The forum, themed "The Next Leap", featured Colony Coworking & Event Spaces chief executive officer Timothy Tiah, Aerodyne Group founder and group chief executive officer Datuk Dr Kamarul A Muhamed, and Santan chief executive officer Catherine Goh.
The speakers shared their experiences in identifying business opportunities, managing expansion and preparing for the next phase of growth.
The event, held at EX8, followed the inaugural forum in December 2025 as part of EcoWorld's efforts to develop a business community around Eco Business Park VII (EBP VII) in Malaysia Vision Valley 2.0 (MVV 2.0).
It also marked the opening of registration for the second phase of SME Core at EBP VII, following the full take-up of its first phase.
EcoWorld deputy chief executive officer Liew Tian Xiong said the forum was intended to encourage collaboration and knowledge-sharing among businesses.
"EcoWorld Connects was built on a simple idea, that businesses grow faster when they grow together. The response to our first forum told us the community wanted more, so this time we brought in leaders who have taken that next leap themselves," he said.
“EBP VII is designed as a business ecosystem, where space, community and connections come together to help companies take their next step with confidence.”
The programme included a project briefing on EBP VII, an insights-sharing session by One Credit and a panel discussion moderated by EcoWorld head of operations for Eco Business Park V and VII Clement Liaw.
The event also featured exhibition booths and a networking luncheon attended by business representatives, including YYC Group chief executive officer Datin Yap Shin Siang and Malaysia Retail Chain Association president Datuk Liew Bin.
EcoWorld chief development officer for Eco Central-North and Eco Business Park Datuk Ho Kwee Hong was also present.
EBP VII is an integrated industrial development located within MVV 2.0, with its sales gallery currently open for enquiries.
