KUALA LUMPUR: Citi has appointed Michael Zezas as head of research, reinforcing the company’s commitment to investing in a world-class research franchise and delivering differentiated insights to clients globally.
In a statement today, Citi said Zezas brings extensive leadership experience across asset classes, regions and market cycles, along with a strong understanding of how high-quality research creates value for clients and supports growth across Citi's markets, banking, wealth and services businesses.
Citi chief client officer David Livingstone said the appointment reflects the bank’s commitment to investing in a world-class research franchise.
"His deep market expertise, global leadership experience and client-focused approach make him exceptionally well positioned to lead the business.
"As our clients continue to navigate capital markets, we will keep investing in top talent, strengthening our capabilities, leveraging new technologies and delivering timely, differentiated insights that help clients make informed decisions,” he said in the statement.
Citi has been a leading foreign bank in Malaysia since 1959.
Previously with Morgan Stanley, Zezas spent nearly two decades there, most recently as managing director and deputy global head of research.
Zezas held a series of senior leadership roles throughout his tenure, ultimately overseeing both equity and fixed income research globally. - Bernama
