KUALA LUMPUR: Eastspring Investments Bhd has launched the Eastspring Investments Partner Series — US Equity High Income Fund, aimed at providing Malaysian investors with income and potential long-term capital growth through US equities.

In a statement, the asset management company said the fund would invest at least 85% of its assets in the Amundi Funds US Equity High Income Fund, which serves as its target fund.

The target fund typically allocates just over 50% of its portfolio to US equities and up to 50% to equity-linked notes (ELNs), structured instruments whose returns are linked to underlying equities.

Eastspring said the fund combines three potential sources of returns, namely dividends from selected US companies, income from ELNs and potential capital appreciation.

The strategy is actively managed, with investments in US equities and ELNs adjusted according to market conditions.

Eastspring Investments chief executive officer Yap Siok Hoon said the fund was aimed at investors seeking income while maintaining exposure to the US equity market.

“US equities continue to offer attractive long-term growth opportunities, but many investors are also seeking a meaningful and regular income stream,” she said.

“Through our partnership with Amundi, this strategy brings together multiple potential sources of return in one actively managed portfolio, helping investors stay invested in the US market while seeking income over the long term.”

The fund is available in US dollar, ringgit-hedged, Singapore dollar-hedged and Australian dollar-hedged unit classes through participating banks and licensed unit trust consultants.

Subject to the availability of income, distributions may be made monthly from realised income, realised capital gains and/or capital.

However, investment returns and distributions are not guaranteed.

Eastspring Investments, part of Prudential plc, managed 37 funds with approximately RM60.7bil in assets under management as at June 30, 2026.
