PETALING JAYA: Insights Analytics Bhd
has secured a RM14.44mil sub-contract from K J S Capital Sdn Bhd for the construction, operation and maintenance of a seven million litres per day water treatment plant in Suai, Miri division.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the company said the contract is part of the proposed design, build and operate performance-based project aimed at addressing the acute water supply shortage in the Suai area.
“The date of commencement for the construction of the project is Oct 13, 2026, and the date of completion is April 10, 2027, with a 60-month operation and maintenance period thereafter.
“The acceptance of the letter of award for the project is expected to contribute positively to the group’s earnings over the contract duration,” it said.
Insights Analytics noted that the project is subject to operational, construction, and regulatory risks.
“However, these are considered manageable within the ordinary course of business. The board of directors does not foresee any exceptional risk factors arising from this project.”
For the three-month period ended July 31, 2026, Insights Analytics reported a net profit of RM9.24mil, on revenue of RM34mil.
In view of the change in the financial year end from April 30, 2026, to Oct 31, 2026, there are no comparative figures for the previous corresponding quarter.
In a note on its latest financial results, the company said it remains confident in delivering continued performance and sustainable growth, supported by its established presence in the water technology sector and business of providing intelligent asset management solutions.
“The intelligent asset management solutions, powered by Internet of Things, artificial intelligence, data analytics, cloud computing, and digital twin technologies, enable real-time tracking, predictive maintenance, automated reporting, and advanced simulation and optimisation capabilities.”
