Top Glove posts earnings surge in FY26, declares 1.5c div/share

KUALA LUMPUR: Top Glove Corp Bhd delivered strong profitability in FY26, driven by steady global demand growth for gloves, which outpaced supply growth.

In a statement, the glove manufacturer said the demand-supply balance improved over the year, which enabled manufacturers to rebuild margins after several challenging years.

It added that the ongoing Middle East crisis further tightened raw material and glove supply, supporting cost pass through and contributing to further margin improvement.

"FY26 marked another milestone year for the Group, in which we more than doubled our profitability compared to FY25 despite ongoing industry headwinds. This is testament to our global competitiveness, which is the result of the disciplined execution of ongoing improvements in quality and cost efficiency, and strong customer relationships across key international markets," said the company's joint managing directors Ng Yong Lin and Lim Jin Feng.

In FY26, Top Glove posted a net profit of RM307.96mil, surging higher from a net profit of RM105.33mil in the previous year, while revenue rose to RM4.23bil from RM3.49bil in FY25.

For the fourth quarter alone, the group's net profit leapt to RM157.63mil from RM34.83mil in the year-ago quarter. Revenue rose to RM1.25bil from RM893.56mil in the previous corresponding quarter.

The board of directors declared a final dividend of 1.5 sen per share, payable on Dec 15, 2026.

According to the group, its balance sheet continued to strengthen, supported by disciplined capital management and positive operating cash flows.

The group improved its net cash position to RM141mil in FY26, compared to a net debt position of RM267mil in FY25.

Executive chairman Tan Sri Lim Chee Wai said the continued demand for gloves provides a solid foundation for long term growth.

"While market conditions remain dynamic, the Group’s strong focus on working hard, smart and fast, coupled with improvements in quality and cost efficiency, people productivity and AI integration, will ensure we remain competitive and well equipped to navigate industry challenges."
