Insights Analytics bags RM14.44mil Suai water treatment plant contract

PETALING JAYA: Insights Analytics Bhd has secured a RM14.44mil sub-contract from K J S Capital Sdn Bhd for the construction, operation and maintenance of a seven million litres per day water treatment plant in Suai, Miri division.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the company said the contract is part of the proposed design, build and operate performance-based project aimed at addressing the acute water supply shortage in the Suai area.

“The date of commencement for the construction of the project is Oct 13, 2026 and the date of completion is April 10, 2027 with a 60 months' operation and maintenance period thereafter.

“The acceptance of the letter of award for the project is expected to contribute positively to the group's earnings over the contract duration,” it said.

Insights Analytics noted that the project is subject to operational, construction, and regulatory risks.

“However, these are considered manageable within the ordinary course of business. The board of directors does not foresee any exceptional risk factors arising from this project.”
