PETALING JAYA: Analysts are positive on Insights Analytics Bhd
’s prospects as a listed proxy to utility digitalisation, underpinned by its growing project pipeline, strong market positioning in Sarawak and expanding exposure to higher-value digitalisation opportunities.
In a note to clients, CIMB Research expects the group’s earnings growth to re-accelerate from the financial year 2027 (FY27) onwards, as new projects are progressively rolled out across both Sarawak’s Water Sector Transformation 2040 and its Intelligent Asset Management Solutions (IAMS) segment.
The brokerage said water should remain the key growth driver, supported by continued investment in water infrastructure, non-revenue water (NRW) reduction, and utility digitalisation, while IAMS contributions should improve with new job wins.
Meanwhile, CIMB Research noted Insights Analytics recently extended its financial year-end to October 2026 from April 2026, resulting in six quarters, or 18 months, for FY26.
The group’s core net profit (CNP) of RM52.5mil for the recent 15-month FY26 results missed expectations due to weaker contribution from the Water Technology Solutions segment, caused by the slower rollout of new projects.
TA Research in a report continued to favour Insights Analytics for its unique end-to-end positioning across the water value chain, combining proprietary NRW technology, exclusive access to differentiated hardware, and construction/system integration capabilities, a scaleable, technology-led earnings model, with the digital twin platform poised to convert an already-priced pipeline into high-margin revenue.
