Samaiden secures contracts for 99.99MWac LSS5+ solar project


PETALING JAYA: Samaiden Group Bhd’s wholly owned subsidiary Samaiden Sdn Bhd has secured contracts from Yeoh Tiong Lay Sdn Bhd (YTLSB) to undertake engineering, construction and commissioning works, including the supply of solar components, for a 99.99 megawatts alternating current (MWac) large-scale solar photovoltaic (LSSPV) plant.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Samaiden said the project involves the supply and delivery of materials, design, engineering, construction, testing and completion of the solar power generating facility.

“The project is one of the LSSPV projects approved by Suruhanjaya Tenaga in September 2025 under the LSS5+ programme,” Samaiden said.

YTLSB was appointed the main contractor for the project.

Samaiden said the project would commence upon the issuance of the notice to proceed.

The contracts’ value or location of the proposed facility was not disclosed.
