MRCB in RM23bil Saudi company collaboration

MRCB said the proposed development would integrate a public bus terminal with residential, hospitality, commercial and retail components.

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysian Resources Corp Bhd’s (MRCB) unit, MRCB International Sdn Bhd, has partnered with Saudi Arabia’s RUA AlHaram AlMakki Company to explore a mixed-use development in Mecca with an indicative gross development value of about 21 billion riyal (RM22.86bil).

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia yesterday, MRCB said the proposed transport-orientated development would be located within King Salman Gate, a project master-developed by RUA AlHaram AlMakki, a Saudi public investment fund company.

It said the proposed development would integrate a public bus terminal with residential, hospitality, commercial and retail components.

MRCB said the partnership would explore a framework for the project’s development, funding and delivery, bringing together RUA AlHaram AlMakki’s vision for King Salman Gate and MRCB’s experience in complex mixed-use and transport-orientated developments. — Bernama
