KUALA LUMPUR: PMB Investment Bhd has declared income distributions for two of its Shariah-compliant funds following positive returns for their respective financial years.

In a statement, the fund management company said the PMB Shariah Premier Fund declared an annual distribution of four sen per unit for the financial year ended Aug 31, 2026, while the PMB Shariah Equity Fund declared 3.2 sen per unit for the financial year ended Aug 30, 2026.

The PMB Shariah Premier Fund recorded a 10.40% yield, or a one-year return of 10.47%, with a total gross distribution of RM8.69mil.

Its net asset value (NAV) will be adjusted to 38.51 sen from 42.51 sen following the distribution.

Meanwhile, the PMB Shariah Equity Fund recorded a 5.19% yield, or a one-year return of 5.71%, with a total gross distribution of RM10.83mil. Its NAV will be adjusted to 61.96 sen from 65.16 sen.

PMB Investment chief executive officer Hang Tuah Amin Tajudin said the distributions reflected the company's disciplined investment approach and consistent fund performance.

“As of Aug 31, 2026, the PMB Shariah Premier Fund recorded a three-year cumulative return of 49.34%, or an average of 16.45% return annually.

“Meanwhile, PMB Shariah Equity Fund achieved a cumulative return of 33.41% over the same period, averaging 11.13% return annually,” he said.

Hang Tuah said the funds had navigated global trade tensions, tariff uncertainty and volatility in oil and commodity prices over the past year.

He attributed the performance to the investment team's risk management processes and adherence to its investment mandate.

Meanwhile, PMB Investment chairman Datuk Mohd Idzwan Izuddin Ab Rahman said the company would remain disciplined in its stock-picking strategy and active asset allocation.

“This approach positions us to capitalise on shifting market conditions while identifying fundamentally sound, off-benchmark stocks with strong growth potential,” he said.

The PMB Shariah Premier Fund invests in the 50 largest Shariah-compliant stocks by market capitalisation at the time of purchase listed on Bursa Malaysia.

The PMB Shariah Equity Fund, meanwhile, was initially established for Tenaga Nasional employees in 1995 before being opened to the public in 2022.
