Zetrix AI says dividend payment delayed for affected shareholders amid legal action

KUALA LUMPUR: Zetrix AI Bhd said dividend payments to some shareholders have been delayed following the latest developments in a legal action involving a substantial shareholder and the company’s share registrar.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Zetrix AI said two nominees have been allowed to intervene in the legal action, with a hearing scheduled for Nov 11, 2026.

The case relates to the company’s final single-tier dividend of 2.89 sen per share for the financial year ended Dec 31, 2025, and the dividend reinvestment plan applicable to the entire dividend.

Zetrix AI said an ad-interim injunction remains in force, while a consent judgment that the board had directed the share registrar to enter into with the substantial shareholder has been put on hold following the intervention.

“The latest development of the legal case has resulted in a computation mismatch in the designated dividend accounts, resulting in computation delays by the company in the remittance of the dividend payment to shareholders,” it said.

It added that payments to affected shareholders would be made once the legal case is fully resolved.

However, dividend payments to unaffected shareholders are in progress and are expected to be completed by Sept 28.
