PETALING JAYA: Southern Score Builders Bhd
(SSBB) has secured a contract from a local construction company to undertake subcontract works for a data centre (DC) project in Nilai, Negri Sembilan, worth RM40mil.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, SSBB said the scope of works will comprise the supply, delivery, installation, testing and commissioning, maintenance and warranty of electrical works.
It said the project commenced on April 1, 2026 and is expected to be completed on April 20, 2027.
SSBB said the contract will not have any immediate effect on the net assets per share and gearing of the company.
“However, the project is expected to contribute positively to the net assets and earnings per share of the company and its group of companies for the financial year ending June 30, 2027 onwards until the completion of the project. The board is of the opinion that the project is in the ordinary course of business and is in the best interest of the group.”
