PGB wins RM45mil data centre project

PETALING JAYA: Paragon Globe Bhd (PGB) has secured a letter of award (LoA) from a data centre operator in respect of the earthworks and retaining walls for the development of a data centre on a site located in Johor worth RM45.16mil.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, PGB said the works are targeted to be completed by the fourth quarter of 2026.

“There are no foreseeable significant risks other than the usual operational and construction-related risks associated with the works, including material price fluctuations, which are inherent in the ordinary course of the group’s construction business.

PGB said it expects the contract to contribute positively to the group’s earnings and net assets over the duration of the works.

“The board, having considered all aspects of the LoA, is of the opinion that the LoA is in the best interest of PGB and its subsidiaries,” said the company.
