AME Elite to acquire 176.5 acres in JS-SEZ for RM199.8mil

KUALA LUMPUR: AME Elite Consortium Bhd has added 176.5 acres of freehold land in Jeram Batu, Pontian, to its landbank for RM199.8mil cash as it seeks to capitalise on the growth of foreign and domestic direct investments flowing into Johor.

In a statement, the group said the sales and purchase agreements were signed by the group's wholly-owned subsidiaries, Pulai Land West Sdn Bhd and Pulai Land East Sdn Bhd. Targeted for completion in the first half of 2027, the acquisition is expected to be funded by internally generated funds.

AME Elite said the site, which is located within the Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone (JS-SEZ), offers connectivity to the Malaysia-Singapore Second Link Expressway - capturing rising demand from investors and manufacturers seeking integrated industrial space within the JS-SEZ.

"While we have broadened our presence into three key economic regions in Peninsular Malaysia, Johor remains the heartbeat of our expansion strategy. Through our integrated development model with specialised construction and engineering expertise, we continue to transform untapped strategic land into higher value industrial ecosystems," said executive director and group CEO Dylan Tan Teck Eng.

Coupled with the March 2026 purchase of 31.8 acres in Senai for RM101.2mil, the group will see more than 200 acres added to its existing 295.3-acre land bank.
