KUALA LUMPUR: GB Bond Holdings Bhd aims to raise RM16.08 million from its initial public offering (IPO) ahead of its listing on Bursa Malaysia’s ACE Market on Oct 1, 2026.
The manufacturer of water-based industrial adhesives, emulsion polymers and sealants said in its prospectus that RM5.5 million of the proceeds would be allocated to the rental and purchase of machinery for its new factory.
Another RM3.5 million would be utilised for the company’s expansion into Vietnam, while RM1.18 million would be allocated for working capital and RM900,000 for the purchase of equipment for product formulation.
It added that RM500,000 would be allocated for product marketing, with the remaining RM4.5 million earmarked for estimated listing expenses.
In a press conference, executive director Gooi Zi Jing said the company, which entered the Vietnamese market in 2009, plans to strengthen its presence there to drive sales growth and provide more efficient customer support.
"Because we already started in 2009 and we know the culture and everything, we need to increase sales, so we need to set up a local presence team, and also a customer service team, to be more efficient in assisting our customers,” he said.
Gooi said the planned expansion is expected to be completed within three years, although the company aims to expedite its implementation as much as possible.
He added that the location for the planned Vietnam expansion had already been finalised in an industrial zone in Binh Duong province.
Meanwhile, chief financial officer Nicole Eng Pek Yui said Vietnam previously contributed approximately 5.6 per cent of the group’s total revenue, and the company expects the expansion to increase that contribution.
According to its prospectus, GB Bond’s enlarged share capital upon listing will comprise 412.3 million shares, translating into a market capitalisation of RM103.08 million based on the IPO price of 25 sen per share.
Applications for the IPO opened today and will close on Sept 22, 2026.
Malacca Securities Sdn Bhd is the principal adviser, sponsor, underwriter and placement agent for the IPO exercise. - Bernama
