TT Vision in RM92mil contract award

PETALING JAYA: TT Vision Holdings Bhd’s (TTVHB) has awarded the construction of a new factory building-cum-office building on a parcel of industrial land known as Plot 81A, Bayan Lepas Industrial Park, Penang, to an independent party, Yu Tong Construction Sdn Bhd, worth RM92mil.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, TTVHB said the contract was awarded by its wholly-owned subsidiary, TT Vision Technologies Sdn Bhd, after a successful tender by the said contractor.

“With the construction of the buildings, there will be additional built-up area of approximately 153,000 sq ft and this will cater for future capacity expansion of TTVHB group,” the company said.

In July last year, the firm announced that it had signed a conditional lease deal with the Penang Development Corp to lease Plot 81A. The proposed lease will allow for the construction of a new manufacturing facility, it said.
