KUALA LUMPUR: Telekom Malaysia Bhd
(TM), via its enterprise and government sector arm TM One, has unveiled the TM Cyber Defence Centre (TM CYDEC).
This centre utilises a cyber fusion operating model that integrates connectivity, cloud services, and cybersecurity. It aims to assist organisations in detecting cyber threats, minimising vulnerabilities, and enhancing response times.
Located at TM’s Cyberjaya Campus, TM CYDEC supports local governance, escalation and control for sensitive environments.
Its multi-security domain and Malaysian expertise provide greater assurance over regulatory compliance, supporting requirements under the Cyber Security Act 2024, the Personal Data Protection Act 2010, and Malaysia’s digital governance framework.
TM One executive vice president Shanti Jusnita Johari said the future of cybersecurity would not be determined by who sees the most alerts, but by who has the clearest understanding of their digital ecosystem.
She said that today’s organisations operate across cloud platforms, connected networks, services and critical infrastructure and protecting them requires these environments to be understood as one, not defended in isolation.
"TM CYDEC has been built around this reality, enabling organisations to make faster decisions, respond with greater precision and build resilience into the foundation of their digital operations,” said Shanti Jusnita in a statement today.
TM CYDEC has also received internationally recognised certifications, including ISO/IEC 27001 for information security management, ISO 22301 for business continuity management, ISO 9001 for quality management and ISO 37001 for anti-bribery management. - Bernama
