KUALA LUMPUR: NCT Alliance Bhd
has commenced the vacant possession handover for Phase 1 of the NCT Smart Industrial Park (NSIP) and launched KM2 under Phase 2 of the development.
In a statement, the property developer said Phase 1 comprises 280 solar-equipped industrial units and has achieved a take-up rate of close to 90%.
The handover makes NSIP the first development under Selangor’s Integrated Development Region in South Selangor (IDRISS) to reach the vacant possession stage.
Meanwhile, KM2 comprises 241 units and forms part of the second phase of NSIP, which includes larger manufacturing and industrial spaces comprising detached, semi-detached, cluster and terrace factories, as well as industrial land parcels.
NCT Alliance executive chairman and group managing director Datuk Sri Yap Ngan Choy said demand for industrial and logistics infrastructure in Malaysia continued to rise, with Selangor attracting interest due to its strategic location and state-backed incentives.
“With Phase 1’s VP handover and the launch of KM2, NSIP continues its steady progress as a world-class development that prioritises efficiency, green energy and smart infrastructure to cultivate a cohesive and scalable industrial environment.
“We expect Phase 2 to generate greater spillover benefits across Selangor, supporting job creation during construction and skilled employment opportunities once completed,” he said.
NSIP spans about 910 acres and has a total gross development value (GDV) of RM10.2bil. It is the maiden development under the IDRISS master plan.
At the event, NCT Alliance also exchanged memoranda of collaboration with SIRIM Bhd and the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation to provide businesses at NSIP with greater access to certification services and support for adopting digital solutions.
The group also received the Master Services Agreement for Managed Industrial Park from the Kuala Langat Municipal Council, formalising the implementation of the managed industrial park model at NSIP.
Under the model, NSIP provides centralised park management, security and digital services.
The industrial park is also equipped with a Smart Command Centre, intelligent building management systems, integrated digital solutions and 5G connectivity.
NCT Alliance said NSIP incorporates solar power generation, rainwater harvesting systems, electric vehicle charging facilities and flood mitigation measures as part of its sustainability initiatives.
Meanwhile, Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari said NSIP has an important role within IDRISS and the state's industrial growth.
“As the development progresses, we look forward to seeing it attract more high-value investments and create quality employment opportunities that will contribute to the state’s long-term economic growth,” he said.
