KUALA LUMPUR: RHB Banking Group has completed all 27 initiatives under its five-year Organisational Anti-Corruption Plan (OACP) 2022-2026 as it moves to develop a new anti-corruption strategy.
The banking group, in a statement, said the OACP was implemented to strengthen governance practices, corruption risk management and accountability, as well as embed a stronger culture of integrity across the organisation.
RHB chairman Tan Sri Ahmad Badri Mohd Zahir said the completion of the OACP marked an important milestone in the group's efforts to strengthen trust and accountability.
“As expectations continue to evolve, integrity must remain at the heart of how we serve our customers, engage our stakeholders, and create long-term value,” he said.
“Every employee plays a critical role in building an organisation that is trusted, responsible, and future-ready.”
Among the initiatives undertaken during the five-year period was the completion of the first phase of the Corporate Integrity System Malaysia assessment.
RHB said it is now developing its Organisational Anti-Corruption Strategy (OACS), which will be aligned with the National Anti-Corruption Strategy 2024-2028.
The new strategy will focus on integrating integrity considerations into business decision-making while further strengthening governance, accountability and transparency across the group.
Group managing director and group chief executive officer Datuk Mohd Rashid Mohamad said the completion of the OACP marked the start of the group's next phase in strengthening its integrity framework.
“As we develop the Organisational Anti-Corruption Strategy, our focus is on embedding integrity, accountability, and ethical conduct more deeply into every decision, every interaction, and every outcome.
“This is fundamental to earning trust, strengthening confidence among our stakeholders, and delivering sustainable value as we advance our PROGRESS27 ambitions,” he said.
RHB said the completion of the OACP was commemorated during its Integrity Week 2026, which included anti-corruption training, governance discussions and programmes involving the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission and the Malaysian Institute of Integrity.
