PETALING JAYA: P.A. Resources Bhd
is obtaining RM255.45mil in additional banking facilities to support its expansion plans, including a new plant and increased production capacity.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the company said RM50mil will be for additional working capital for an existing plant to support higher customer orders, product diversification and market expansion.
Meanwhile, RM65.45mil will be allocated for the construction of a new plant, while RM140mil will be for working capital for the new plant.
The company noted that it had on July 14, 2026, renewed an 18-month supply agreement worth US$322.17mil (RM1.3bil) with First Solar for aluminium extrusion profiles used in the production of photovoltaic modules.
“This represents an increase of approximately US$90.27mil or 38.9%, compared with the fourth renewal valued at US$231.9mil for the period from Jan 2, 2024 to July 1, July 2025, as announced on Jan 18, 2024.”
P.A. Resources said the higher contract value is expected to increase the group’s production as well as working capital requirements.
“Accordingly, the additional banking facilities are intended to support the group’s existing operations and the development of its new plant.”
