PETALING JAYA: Gas Malaysia Bhd
has entered into a joint study and collaboration agreement with Petronas Gas Bhd
(PGB) for the development of an onshore lateral pipeline to connecting the proposed liquefied natural gas regasification terminal in Yan, Kedah to the Peninsular Gas Utilisation system.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Gas Malaysia said the feasibility study is intended to assess the technical, operational and commercial viability of the proposed pipeline interconnection, including engineering design, land acquisition requirements and other technical assessments required to support PGB’s confirmation on the proposed interconnection.
“The collaboration provides a structured governance framework for both parties to undertake the feasibility study, with clear allocation of responsibilities, cost sharing principles and reimbursement mechanisms. It also enables the parties to progress the study in an orderly and transparent manner.”
