AEON Bank enables Google Pay for Visa Debit Card-i

KUALA LUMPUR: AEON Bank (M) Bhd has enabled Google Pay for its Visa Debit Card-i, allowing Android users to make contactless payments in stores and online.

In a statement, the country’s first digital Islamic bank said the integration expands its digital payment capabilities as it seeks to offer customers more convenient and secure cashless payment options.

In conjunction with the rollout, AEON Bank is offering 3% cashback on eligible Google Pay purchases until Sept 30, 2026, capped at RM30 per customer.

Customers need to connect their AEON Bank Visa Debit Card-i to Google Wallet and use Google Pay for eligible in-store or online transactions.

Google Pay joins other services available through the AEON Bank app, including DuitNow QR, JomPAY, Savings Pot, Zakat and Takaful.

AEON Bank said the integration supports its efforts to expand its Shariah-compliant digital banking services and provide secure, frictionless payment solutions.
