MAG airlines strengthen safety, reliability


KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia Aviation Group or MAG is strengthening the operational performance of its airline portfolio, backed by renewed international safety certifications and improved flight reliability in the first half of financial year 2026.

Malaysia Airlines has renewed its International Air Transport Association Operational Safety Audit (Iosa) registration, extending the certification through July 2028. It was also recently awarded the Seven Star PLUS safety rating by AirlineRatings.com.

Sister airline Firefly maintains its Seven-Star Safety Rating and Iosa registration, with the latter valid until February 2028.
