IJM chairman Krishnan Tan retires after over four decades with group

KUALA LUMPUR: IJM Corp Bhd said its non-executive chairman Tan Sri Tan Boon Seng @ Krishnan has retired from the board effective Aug 27, 2026.

Tan, 73, has had a more than four-decade association with IJM, having joined the group as financial controller in 1983 before being appointed an alternate director in 1984.

He subsequently held several senior positions, including group managing director, chief executive officer and managing director, executive deputy chairman and deputy non-executive chairman.

Tan was appointed non-executive chairman of IJM on Aug 29, 2019.

According to IJM’s Bursa Malaysia filing, he holds 10.73 million shares directly and 1.12 million shares indirectly in the company.
