Celestica to create more than 2,100 jobs in Malaysia amid AI, cloud demand

GEORGE TOWN: Celestica Inc is set to expand its workforce in Malaysia by more than 2,100 employees as global demand for artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure and cloud computing continues to accelerate.

The Toronto-headquartered data centre infrastructure and advanced technology solutions company said in a statement today that the recruitment drive will include high-value roles in production and design engineering, as Celestica strengthens its manufacturing and technology capabilities in the country.

"Malaysia plays an important role in Celestica’s global operations and growth strategy. As demand for AI infrastructure and cloud computing continues to increase, Celestica is investing and expanding its capabilities in Malaysia, creating new job opportunities for the country’s highly skilled workforce.

"Celestica remains committed to supporting the development of local Malaysian talent in line with the nation’s shift toward a high-value, technology-driven economy through workforce development and career advancement opportunities,” said Celestica.

As part of the commitment, the company said it operates a structured two-year management trainee programme that provides final-year university students across Malaysia and graduates with practical, hands-on experience, professional development and mentorship opportunities.

Celestica is seeking professionals for various functions beyond engineering, including finance, human resources, information technology, and supply chain. Qualified candidates are encouraged to visit the careers page at www.celestica.com for opportunities in Malaysia.
