CAB Cakaran plans RM105mil poultry farm

KUALA LUMPUR: CAB Cakaran Corp Bhd via its wholly-owned subsidiary CAB Cakaran (Timur) Sdn Bhd has entered into three 21-year lease agreements with the Terengganu state government for the proposed development of an RM105mil modern poultry farming project.

The tracts of land, measuring 414.63ha in total, will facilitate the development of the project in two phases.

Each phase – which will take about two years to complete – will comprise the development of 50 chicken houses equipped with a close house system, with an estimated aggregate rearing capacity of one million chickens.

The estimated investment cost of RM105mil takes into consideration the current assessment of the requirements for the overall development of the project.

It includes, among others, the construction of the chicken houses, related infrastructure and supporting facilities, solar energy support systems, as well as preliminary site preparation and development works.
